Following the acquisition of American Medical Instruments Holdings, Inc. in 2006, Angiotech expanded beyond its strong R&D capabilities to include the manufacturing and marketing of a wide range of single use, specialty medical devices.
Today, in addition to its manufacturing capabilities, Angiotech has created specialized sales and marketing teams in North America, Europe, South America and Asia. Angiotech’s sales and marketing teams are organized by their product groupings and focus on three key markets.

- Angiotech Interventional
- Angiotech Surgical (including Wound Closure)
- Angiotech Specialty / OEM (including Ophthalmology, Dental, Veterinary and Private Label)
Angiotech is working to accelerate growth of its existing business through expansion of its direct sales force and creation of a global distribution network. At the same time, Angiotech anticipates growth through the development and launch of exciting next-generation products, such as Quill™ SRS, HemoStream™, SharpGuard™, Vascular Wrap™, and 5-FU CVC.
Angiotech is also re-positioning its OEM and private label business for continued growth by offering a comprehensive line of private label, finished medical devices and medical device components for third-party medical device manufacturers.
