2006 NSERC Synergy Awards for Innovation - University of British Columbia &Angiotech Collaboration
Dr. Helen Burt's research laboratory in the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Vancouver-based Angiotech Pharmaceuticals Inc. have received a 2006 NSERC Synergy Award for Innovation from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), Canada's largest science and engineering granting agency.
2006 Manning Innovation Awards - Principal Award
Dr. William Hunter and Dr. Lindsay Machan, co-founders of Angiotech, win the Principal Award from the Ernest C. Manning Foundation Awards, which has been recognizing and encouraging innovation in Canada since 1982.

Angiotech is ranked as the 9th fastest-growing Canadian company by PROFIT Magazine.
BC Innovation Council's Cecil Green Award for Science and Technology Entrepreneurship
Bill Hunter receives the BC Innovation Council's award for his role in the development of the drug-eluting stent whose commercial success is exceeded only by its significance for the future of the entire pharmaceutical and medical devices sector.
2005 Deloitte Canadian Technology Fast 50 List-6th Place Ranking Overall
Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc places 6th overall on the Fast 50 list whick recognizes excellence, innovation and the fastest growing tech companies in Canada. Rankings were based on percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over five years, from 2000-2004.
2005 Canadian American Business Council 's Business Achievement Award
Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc and Boston Scientific Corporation jointly receive the Council's award for Business Achievement which recognizes innovative and successful alliances between Canadian and American firms. The award recognizes Angiotech and Boston Scientific's collaborative effort in bringing the TAXUS® drug-eluting coronary stent system to a successful commercialization.

Angiotech is ranked as the 4th fastest growing Canadian company by PROFIT Magazine.
CVCA 2004 "Entrepreneur of the Year" Award
Dr. William Hunter receives the 2004 "Entrepreneur of the Year" Award from the Canadian Venture Capital Association. The purpose of this award is to promote, highlight and celebrate the achievements of entrepreneurs who lead venture capital backed Canadian companies.
2004 BC Biotech Lifesciences Company of the Year - March 2004
Angiotech is presented with BC Biotech's Lifesciences Company of the Year. The award is presented anually to a company and its team which has stood out in the current year by achieving major milestones. In 2003, Angiotech joined the ranks of a few select companies in Canada with products that have acchieved commercialization on a global scale.
